What I did was basically change the lighting to make it more dramatic and also hide some of what I felt were flaws. Please check out his page, the kid's amazing.
For Aztec:
In the original you have fire in the background but, I didn't understand how exactly he was being lit from the front. So I took that aspect of it out, and amplified the backlight to give his body that rim of light you see. That also serves to hide the anotomical problem of his right forearm. The reflected lights from the environment and his eyes were neglected, so I gave the ground a slight red tint, and his body some blue reflected light. What that does is make you really feel like his eyes are glowing, there's some energy inside him that's so powerful/toxic that it's constantly flowing from him. The last thing I did was sharpen the edges of his figure and bring out some more detail in his face, since that seems to be the centerpiece of the illustration. I think it looks more professional with sharper more defined contrasts.
Like I told you in my comment before, you did a great job and you continue to amaze me with your talent. Keep working at it and you're gonna be phenomenal.
Okay, this is freaking great art! The colors are perfect for the piece! Powerful yet creeping! The cemetary and the gravestones in the background are perfect. I love how the atmosphere seems to be almost swirling up behind the Ghoul! Awesome work, guys!
Very good, I understand your reasoning, I wish i had put that much thought into it, I actually like this much more so you did an excellent job.
